Monster Mandarin is a play-based, immersive learning experience for kids of all ages. Whether your kids are new to Mandarin or nearly fluent, our age-appropriate, customized curriculum adapts and grows with your family.

Mastery Learning

Kids are all different. They behave differently, and they learn differently. The speed of learning matters less than retaining and recalling what was learned.

This is why Monster Mandarin utilizes the Mastery Learning model. Simply, this means we don’t move on until your child can recall at least 90% of the content taught. Doing this ensures we build on a solid foundation, rather than a shaky one.

Our Teachers

Monster Mandarin teachers love teaching and kids. It’s the most important part of the recipe. Too often kids are forced to learn and end up dreading class. At Monster Mandarin our bar is higher — we want kids to love learning as much as we enjoy teaching.

Our teachers are all graduated from U.S. universities with master’s degrees in education. Most importantly our teachers understand that learning can and should be fun. That's why we're all so passionate about play-based Mandarin.

Monster Mandarin is partnered with some of the best schools and parenting services in Los Angeles, California. From Kehillat Israel (KI) and Calvary Christian School (CCS) in Pacific Palisades to The REALM Creative Academy and The Pump Station in Santa Monica, we’re proud to be working with the best and brightest teams in education and parenting.

Monster Mandarin was founded in the Spring of 2019, is headquartered in Santa Monica, CA, and has a distributed team of amazing teachers throughout the country.
